Dutch level 2 - to A2 - morning - superintensive
The second level courses are intended to improve more simple understanding, speaking and writing of the Dutch language. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, you will start at level A1 and obtain level A2.
During level 2 English still will be used to explain the Dutch language. However, more and more the main instruction language will be Dutch.
- Homework: AT LEAST 5 hours a week
- Presence in class: necessary to attend all lessons
If you doubt your level Dutch, please use this testsite below to see if your level is minimum A1. In first instance the language of the testsite is English.

When you finish the test(s), please make a screenshot or save the feedback about your level and mail it to the teacher. There are a number of tests, you can choose some or do them all (the last option takes some time but you'll be scored better).
Warning: this Dialang-testsite is not an official test! Dialang is a diagnostic test. Its main purpose is to inform language learners about their level and about language learning. Dialang should NOT be used for certification purposes.
- Diploma of a secondary education of 10 years or more in country of student’s origin.
- Good knowledge of English of the student required to follow the class.
Information evening languages (August)
If you doubt your level Dutch, you can visit our annual information evening for languages at the end of August. Teachers present will answer your questions, like the intake level of the course you wish to follow. The information evening will be held at the van Maerlantlyceum in Eindhoven. Pay attention: Paid parking applies in the immediate vicinity of the van Maerlantlyceum. Please note the P-signs to prevent a ticket.
